In the tradition of Sanatan Dharm, the two-hundred-year-old Kashi Vidvat Parishad has great importance. Kashi Vidvat Parishad plays a very important role in taking all significant decisions related to Sanatan Dharm and in the appointment of Jagadguru Shankaracharya. It is a matter of great honour that in a special ceremony the seven Rishis of Kashi Vidvat Parishad namely, Professor Vashishth Tripathi ji, President of Kashi Vidvat Parishad; Prof Har Prasad Dikshit ji, Vice-President; Professor Ram Narayan Dwivedi ji, General Secretary; Prof Vinay Kumar Pandey ji, Secretary; Prof Dinesh Kumar Garg ji, Steward and National Spokesperson; Prof Shivshankar Mishr ji, Parishad’s in-charge of Delhi State; and Prof Ramesh Kumar Pandey ji, Former Chancellor of Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya honoured Brahmrishi Shree Kumar Swamiji with the greatest title of the world – ‘Mahabrahmrishi’. Speaking on this occasion, Prof Ram Narayan Dwivedi, General Secretary of Kashi Vidvat Parishad said, ‘It is a moment of great fortune that we have here with us revered Mahabrahmrishi ji who is a preacher of Mantras, who has researched the Beej Mantras and who has earned respect and honour not just in the country but all over the world by advocating the use of Beej Mantras. With the help of Beej Mantras, he ever remains striving to help poor people of the society in becoming free of sorrows and incurable ailments. Through his intense penance and through his activities of common weal, he keeps working incessantly for the welfare of the people. Still, he is bestowed with a simple nature and humility. At the same time, he has a divine persona. When a person gains wisdom, he becomes all the more humble. The feeling of respect that he has for Vipras (Vedic scholars) is unmatched. In the age of Kaliyug, Vipras are said to be the direct representatives of God on earth. Revered Mahabrahmrishi ji has helped millions attain to supreme welfare by the power of his worship and spiritual practice. We respectfully bow to Mahabrahmrishi ji for putting in tireless efforts for upliftment and progress of the society. No words are sufficient for elucidating his personality and achievements. It is said in Gita that it is with great fortune that one has the honour of being in his holy company. By honouring him with the title of Mahabrahmrishi, today the Kashi Vidvat Parishad itself feels greatly honoured and so does this title.’
